Rebutted/Rejointed Shingles Appearance Manufactured from Number 1 Grade Blue Label Alaskan Yellow Cedar Shingles, trimmed for parallel edges with butts sawn at right angles. Length 18-inch; width 4″ minimum; thickness on 18-inch is 5/2″ (5 butts together measure 2″ thick). Clear heartwood: 100% edge grain; no defects.

Sidewall Shingle
Alaskan Yellow Cedar Sidewall shingles are kiln dried and sanded with resawn and rebutted (edges and thick end re-cut square and parallel). #1 Grade and 100 square feet to the box when installed at 14″ exposure with an under-course shingle, 50 square feet when installed at 7″ exposure with no under-course. These are #1 shingles which means they are 100% vertical grain and 100% old growth with tight grain

For exterior and interior walls where a premium quality product is desired.
