Back in 2016, we had the privilege of replacing some 32″ x 5/8″ Tapersawn Shakes for Hawkins Homestead, one of the first Western settlements in upstate New York, originally built in 1660. Our friend and client that gave us the business just sent through a fresh photo, showing the grey weathering of the Western Red Cedar shakes. Being a part of historical restorations like this are one of the reasons we love what we do. If you have any historical restorations on the horizon that call for cedar shakes or shingles, give us a call at 1-877-850-1767 and we would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
