Red Cedar Shingles

Shingles are sawn both sides, have a relatively smooth face and back and are produced in four grades and three lengths:

1- Blue Label Shingles

The Premium grade of shingles for roofs and sidewalls. These top-grade shingles are 100% heartwood, 100% clear and 100% edge grain

2 – Red Label Shingles

A good grade for all applications. Not less than 10 inch (250mm) clear on 16 inch (405mm), 11 inch (275mm) clear on 18 inch (455mm) shingles, and 16 inch (405mm) clear on 24 inch (610mm) shingles. Flat grain and limited sapwood are permitted in this grade.

3 – Black Label Shingles

A utility grade for economy applications and secondary buildings. Not less than 5½ inch (140mm) clear on 16 inch (405mm) and 18 inch (455mm) shingles, and 10 inch (250mm) clear on 24 inch (610mm) shingles.

4 – Undercoursing

A utility grade for interior accent walls for undercoursing on double-coursed wall applications.
