Project Description
We just received these beautiful photos of some of our custom cut, double coursed, 28" length Western Red Cedar straight split shakes. These went on a historical restoration that we did right here in Surrey, British Columbia. Originally built in 1900, this is the oldest remaining pole barn in the Fraser Valley. The squared timber and log pole structure was build for the Stewart family, newcomers to Surrey in 1880. The family had a successful farming operation here for over five decades. I love when Direct Cedar gets to be a small part of restoring history! If you have any custom cut projects on the horizon and you'd like to discuss your needs, give me a call at 1-877-850-1767 or shoot me an email at [email protected]
